The panic-stricken bride

The dream:

A lot of brides-to-be experience the recurring dream where they haven’t organised any of the wedding planning, forgotten to buy a wedding dress or haven’t yet sent out the wedding invitations.

The meaning:

This is an extremely stressful dream for any bride to have – especially if the big day is creeping closer! Many brides have this dream because they are feeling stressed or overwhelmed by the wedding planning and their strive for perfection.

Limited time, money or organsation can make it seem like their wedding isn’t going to be as perfect as they’d hope, making you not enjoy the planning process as much as you should. To avoid this, delegate tasks to your friends and family, and remember, if you’re feeling the planning pressure, take a break!

What wedding?

The dream:

You think you’d never forget your wedding day? Only in your dreams! Many brides dream that they’re at a reception hall decorating for an event, but they’re not actually sure what for, or everyone seems to be attending something but they’re not there. It turns out you’ve actually missed your own wedding day!

The meaning:

This kind of dream symbolises that a bride is forgetting some aspect of the planning, or that they need to be more organised as time is running out. The best thing to do to ease these nightmares is keep on top of it all. We’re talking lists – lots of lists, but not too many that you’re drowning in them. Tick things off as you go along, and remember to prioritise!

The dress disaster

The dream:

Other brides regularly have dreams that they turn up to their wedding day in a horrible dress that they hate, or even worse – they’re naked! Guests laughing at their attire (or lack of it) is a bride’s nightmare and will definitely leave anyone feeling shaken.

The meaning:

Don’t stress though ladies! Take a step back and make sure you love your dress; you don’t want to turn up on your special day and regret choosing something else. Many brides may also feel vulnerable in a wedding dress, as it’s not something they’d usually wear or they feel self-conscious that everyone will be looking at them. But hey, it’s your wedding day – it’s your time to shine! Embrace it.

Help, I have no teeth!

The dream:

People’s teeth falling out is one of the most common recurring dreams out there, not just for those planning weddings. It’s one of those dreams that when you wake up it takes a good 5 minutes to make sure all your teeth are in place, to realise that it’s not actually happened.

The meaning:

In both every day life and in relation to your wedding, this kind of dream indicates frustation, lack of control, or money issues. Frustation and stress is always going to arise when planning a wedding, and it’s super important to set out a clear budget at the start of your planning process and to try and stick to it so you don’t have any scary unexpected costs!
