Fall down the rabbit hole and find yourself in a dream world, with this absolutely gorgeous Alice in Wonderland wedding shoot!
Taking inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s literary classic, Alice In Wonderland – this was a shoot that got the whole Wedding Ideas team seriously excited! From a stunning setting to a mouth watering cake table fit for a King (and his Queen), photographer Roberta Facchini and wedding planner Charmaine James created a big day to remember! We find out more about the people who made it so fabulous…
“I organised this shoot to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Alice In Wonderland,” Roberta explains. “We thought this theme was perfect for some wedding inspiration and loved how it all turned out.” Organised in just a few short weeks, everyone involved had a very clear idea of what they wanted.
The venue – the gorgeous Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge, London have an opening on to Hyde Park that worked perfectly for this lovely theme. Charmaine contacted Paper Flower Wedding who provided them with this simply stunning 3D paper flower backdrop – adding depth and something completely unique to the whole day. The models Will and Lauren, who are also a real life couple were the perfect choice for everyone involved! “Lauren is just so pretty and I think she looks exactly like Alice!” Roberta smiles.
The cakes from Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium were a real treat, and the whole team got to give them a try. Adding flowers from Amie Bone Flowers meant the beautiful main table and bridal bouquet were the perfect finishing touches. But, the question on everyone’s lips? The dress! Bridal boutique Heart Aflutter provided this elegant laced gown by designer Marianna Lanzilli and we can’t think of a dress more apt for Alice.
