Natasha and Stephen first met when they were 16 but it was a few years before love blossomed! Stephen proposed in 2002, the day after Natasha’s first nephew was born. “As I’m 34 and a mum of two, I was really surprised,” says Natasha.

The bride’s outfit

Natasha found her beautiful Stella of York gown in a local bridal store. “I knew it was the right dress,” says Natasha. “I felt amazing in it.” She altered the waistband on the strapless gown to match her bridesmaids outfits and accessorised with a delicate necklace and crystal hair vine.

“Stephen looked handsome and very smart in his outfit,” smiles Natasha. He wore a grey suit hired from Henry’s in Bicester, with a raspberry cravat.

The bridesmaids

Natasha was attended by four bridesmaids and three flowergirls. The older bridesmaids had
their dresses made by a local dressmaker, while the flowergirl dresses were from Monsoon. Natasha’s dressmaker customised them by adding a raspberry band around the waist.

The ceremony

Natasha and Stephen tied the knot in a civil ceremony at Notley Abbey. “I loved seeing everyone enjoying themselves,” remembers Natasha. “But the whole service was so emotional as I was so close to my dad and he wasn’t able to share the day with us.”

The reception

Natasha and Stephen chose a glamorous crystal theme to complement their grand venue of Notley Abbey in Buckinghamshire.

The details

“We decorated the venue with wicker hearts, candelabra, candles and flowers bought from a local garden centre, and I chose to have crystal bouquets,” says Natasha. Guests were treated to a traditional three-course wedding breakfast, with sausages and chips for their mini guests, before sampling the couple’s gorgeous three-tier wedding cake from Natasha’s cousin’s bakery, Cornfields in Wheatley. Natasha and Stephen also opted for a DJ and photobooth to entertain their guests.

The honeymoon

In lieu of a honeymoon, this couple chose to have a family holiday to Tenerife in the Summer before their wedding – a great idea if you already have a family.
