Wedding Ideas magazine Today is a very special day for us.  It’s our 100th birthday and the centenary issue of Wedding Ideas magazine comes on sale in the shops.

To celebrate our 100th edition you’ll see a real-life bride smiling from our cover.  Yes, we usually use models but for this issue we wanted to show how real-life brides are always on our mind and in our thoughts.  How better than to feature one of you on the FRONT of our magazine?

Our cover star real-life bride is Helen and she got married to her groom Aaron in September 2010 at Highcliffe Castle, with her wedding featured in Wedding Ideas in issue 92. (Back issues available from us.)

The front cover was photographed at a special secret shoot we held at the Wedding Ideas offices back in July, when we invited five real brides (including Helen) to relive their look on their big day AND have the chance to wear their wedding dress again.bride and groom at snowy wedding with red bouquet

Inside the magazine you’ll also see our other brides Roberta, Lucy, Lauryn and Sheree (pictured on their wedding days above)  with pages on their style and how they put it all together for their big day.  Photographer Jonny Gawler took some wonderful images of the girls, with Rachel Ryan looking after their hair, Juliette Salmon the make-up, flowers by Sabine Darrall and our talented Ed Rachel Morgan keeping an eye on the styling.

Read through our 100th special and you’ll also discover over £10,000 worth of competition prizes and giveaways.  Two honeymoons (in the Maldives and Thailand) are to be won, a bridal gown with all the accessories, a wedding cake, five pairs of wedding shoes and bedroom furnishings from Next worth £1000.

Buy your 100th issue of Wedding Ideas magazine in WH Smith, Tesco, Tesco Express, Asda or Boots and you’ll also receive a free 32-page real wedding supplement (while stocks last).  There are 60 pages of real weddings in the main magazine too, which is our biggest ever and great value at £3.20.

At Wedding Ideas magazine we aim to be your chief bridesmaid and big sister rolled into one easy and ideas-packed read.  We are here to help you plan every step of your wedding.
