This sophisticated gathering featured champagne and dusky pink accents with the most amazing wedding cake we’ve ever seen! This romantic wedding is gorgeous…
The proposal
Karolina and Andy met when they were both on a night out. “We spent the whole night chatting and found it hard to say goodbye,” recalls Karolina. “He told me he was going to South America for a holiday and jokingly I asked if he would be taking me. Low and behold a few months later I was on the plane with him!” Andy proposed in Cornwall on a surprise weekend away. “We went for a long walk along the cliffs and just as the sun was setting Andy got down on one knee,” says Karolina. “I was so overwhelmed, it was such a wonderful feeling.”
The bride’s outfit
After an endless search through London’s bridal shops, Karolina eventually found her dream Pronovias dress. The gown, which was made of vintage lace, featured a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves, and Karolina added a diamanté belt for a bit of extra sparkle. “I loved going for all my fittings – I didn’t ever want to take it off!” smiles Karolina. She borrowed her headpiece from a friend, and wore a veil from Pronovias and plain shoes from BHS, which her friend personalised for her.
The groom’s outfit
Andy hired a grey slim-fit suit from the Ted Baker line at Moss Bros.
The bridesmaids
Karolina chose her three closest friends – Laura, Natasha and Leonie – as her bridesmaids. They looked beautiful in long dusky pink chiffon dresses from Fonthill Road in North London.
The ceremony
Karolina and Andy decided on a church ceremony and included meaningful readings and songs to create a personalised service.
The reception
Notley Abbey was the venue of choice for this couple. They chose a neutral theme to match their sophisticated and elegant location, using a colour scheme of dusky pink, nude and champagne. Wooden hearts and tealights added to the romantic feel of the day and the candelabra with tied flowers completed the classic look. Guests enjoyed music by Elisa Jeffery Collective and were given disposable cameras to take their own snaps with.
The honeymoon
For their post-wedding break, the couple went to Bali, where they enjoyed a three-day private tour of the different islands.
