When Lucinda met Chris, she felt as though she had found the other half of her because they are similar in so many ways. Chris took her for a hot chocolate at Lancaster University coffee shop after he had sat next to her in a lecture because he thought she looked clever! Chris proposed while they were away for the weekend in Chester. They had been to the outdoor theatre earlier in the day, and as Bruno Mars sang out from the radio at the hotel, he surprised her with a ring. Lucinda and Chris’ wedding was created with the help of lots of creative family and friends. Guests were treated to a feast including a cheese wedding cake, which was served with pâté and crackers, and bacon and sausage baps that were served at 10pm. A magician – a surprise from Lucinda to Chris – kept guests entertained during the drinks’ reception, and The Kickstarts band played to a packed dance floor all night long!

The couple’s pug Honey joined Lucinda’s sister and friend as the third bridesmaid – the girls wore fuchsia dresses from Wed2B.

Lucinda spotted some log slice centrepieces she liked on Pinterest, so asked a tree surgeon friend to create some for her. She made 60 metres of colourful bunting, and covered 60 glass ramekins with moss, as well as the letters L&C, which she placed in the middle of the top table. Lucinda also made all of their stationery and all guests received a tea towel and a wooden spoon hand-stamped with the couple’s names and a recipe, which doubled up as place names.
