Charlotte and Paul had a pretty pink wedding to celebrate their love. The sun certainly shone on their wedding day…
Charlotte and Paul have always loved surprising each other, so it was natural that Paul would arrange an elaborate and ultra-organised proposal involving family, friends and even Charlotte’s boss. He got down on one knee at Stanwell House Hotel following a romantic meal at Egan’s in Lymington. Charlotte said right from the start that she wanted their wedding day to be as much about her groom as it was about her, so there was a lot of Paul’s personality throughout the day, like tables named after Elvis songs – Paul’s favourite!
The day itself had a romantic, vintage theme with pretty neutral tones, pastels, soft pinks and gold bows – a truly beautiful look for the bride and groom! The celebration was full of laughter, including when the power failed during the couple’s first dance, the guests sang instead and it was one of the highlights of the day!
Charlotte found her Ronald Joyce dress at Anya Bridal. She wasn’t expecting ‘the moment’ that brides describe, but she got it with this amazing dress. Her parents bought her accessories for her and she won a £500 voucher to spend at Freya Rose, which is where she got her fabulous shoes. The bridesmaids all wore blush pink dresses from Ebony Rose, bought from Wedded Bliss in Southampton. Fawley Church was the only choice for this couple – it was where Paul’s parents, uncle and Charlotte’s sister all married.
Charlotte and Paul hired white chair covers and gold sashes, and decorated the tables with candle holders and vintage signs collected through the wedding planning stage. Vintage photo frames held pictures of loved ones who had passed away, and Jane Austen books were used, with a hole punch, to create table confetti. Because family and friends were so involved with the decoration of Rhinefield House, it felt really special. Absolute Band helped create a party to remember…
