Stunning flowers and details in a fun-packed day of celebration for Joanne and Mark’s rustic wedding day.
Joanne and Mark met when they both worked in Cineworld where Joanne was Mark’s supervisor. Although they say it wasn’t love at first sight, their relationship has the solid foundations of a firm friendship – this couple have always had a good laugh together. Mark proposed in New York, overlooking the Hudson River to Manhattan, at Brooklyn Heights. Joanne says, “I turned around after taking a panoramic photograph to find Mark down on bended knee!” She was in complete shock and took some time to put him out of his misery and say, “YES!”
In the early days of their relationship, Mark took Joanne to the Lake District for a weekend away and they have returned many times since, so it made the perfect choice for the location of their wedding. Knipe Hall in the Lowther Valley provided a stunning backdrop and offered everything this couple wanted for their dream day…
Joanne and Mark chose a country, rustic, vintage theme for their wedding and got their inspiration from Wedding Ideas and Pinterest. They made 120 metres of bunting and never went into a shop without coming away with something for the wedding. The wedding breakfast included spicy parsnip soup, Cumbrian tattie pot and sticky toffee pudding. In the evening, guests enjoyed a locally sourced hog roast. The dance floor was full all night for the best party ever!
