WHEN: May 2010

Daniel surprised his girl with a Christmas proposal, by getting down on one knee in a room filled with twinkling tea light candles. Daniel had also attempted to ask Joanna’s Father’s permission, but after waiting outside in the cold for over two hours, he eventually gave up. It turns out her parents were out Christmas shopping for the evening!
The bride’s real wedding outfit
Joanna’s magical Maggie Sottero real wedding gown was from Matchmaker. “I had a feeling that the dress would suit me, and when I put it on for the first time, it felt completely right,” smiles Joanna. The bust was detailed with glamorous jewels, crystals and beading, while the back was accentuated with cascading pleats neatly embellished with a sprinkling of jewels
Joanna also wore a mid-length veil, and peep-toe shoes by Paradox. “I can always be found in a pair of killer heels, so these were very ‘me’! The perfect finishing touch for my real wedding outfit,” smiles Joanna

The groom’s outfit
Daniel hired the groomsmen’s suits from Anthony Formal Wear
Joanna’s three adult bridesmaids looked a million dollars in their pleated pastel pink dresses from Coast. Joanna also added a cream flower corsage tied to a ribbon that the girls wore around their waists and tied in with the country garden theme beautifully
Was a civil ceremony that took place in the beautiful Elizabethan hall. “There was a stunning stained-glass window in the room and the sun was beaming through, just as we said our vows,” smiles Joanna
“Because the venue was so beautiful, it needed very little decoration,” explains Joanna. “Stacy Stevens created stunning floral arrangements to complement the setting perfectly,” she adds. The flowers were also perfect for the couple’s English country garden theme

The couple decorated the dovecote entrance of their venue with welcome messages and tall vases filled with sweet-scented flowers. In the seating area of the stables, Joanna and Daniel placed ivory buckets filled with handpicked roses
The couple bought a classic vanilla sponge cake from M&S, which was perfectly decorated with simple and elegant fresh flowers
Guests enjoyed traditional garden games during the drinks reception followed by a singer in the evening. “Having a singer created an incredible atmosphere and a real buzz. Everyone enjoyed the music, and were up and dancing the night away,” recalls Joanna
The newlyweds honeymooned in Tanzania on their own private safari adventure.
