The proposal
It was Valentine’s Day 2009, when Mark popped the question. “We were booked in to a lovely B&B in Wales, and I’d made us a picnic to take on our walk,” recalls Laura. “However, it poured with rain the whole time, and we ended up staying in doors! We were sitting in bed, sipping Champagne and eating heart-shaped cookies, when Mark suddenly asked me to marry him. I just burst into tears “ happy tears,” she adds
The bride’s real wedding outfit
Despite it being two years until the big day, Laura bought her Alfred Angelo dress early! “I fell in love with it instantly, and loved it as much on the day as I did when I first tried it on,” she explains. The dress was also the ex-display dress so savvy-spender Laura was lucky enough to get it for half the recommended retail price, now that’s how to stay in budget!
The accessories
Laura completed her aisle style with her Mum’s antique pearl necklace,a vintage-inspired hairband from Shefaly and lace detail shoes from Barratts
The groom’s outfit
“Mark chose exactly what I would have picked out for him, myself!” smiles Laura. “It was a joint decision, but I needn’t have worried, he looked absolutely gorgeous,” she adds. The groomsmen’s suits were hired from Peter Posh
The bridesmaids
Laura’s girls let their dresses do the talking. Shades of purple are hot news, brides take note! These beauties were from Milano
“The ceremony was by far the best part of the day. I just couldn’t stop myself smiling throughout”
The ceremony

The flowers
“Because I knew nothing about flowers, I printed pictures and took magazine cut-outs to the florist and asked her to be creative! The results were better than I ever could have imagined,” says Laura

We love the couple’s charming cake topper, from My Mini You. Their delicious-looking cake was baked by Sparkling Sugar
