Simone and Reiner had a truly stunning wedding day, with a pretty peach and mint colour scheme.
Simone was just 16 when she met 20 year-old Reiner, after their first date along the beach at sunset, eating ice cream she knew he was the one for her! It was another trip to the beach at a later stage in their relationship that Reiner proposed to this gorgeous bride – after he picked up his mother’s resized engagement ring he just couldn’t wait to propose so they took a walk along the sand dunes and she said yes!
A “very special lady,” Nettie created Simone’s beautiful romance-inspired princess gown. She had turned Simone’s mother’s wedding dress into a gorgeous tutu for the bride’s engagement shoot (as she’s a dancer) so she completely trusted her to make the most important dress of her life.
Her bridesmaids all wore floral-patterned dresses from Foschini and her maid of honour wore a full-length coral gown. Her “not interested in fashion” man wore a custom made suit and she was so impressed! Simone and Reiner are strong Christians, so they had a lovely religious ceremony, with promise readings to each other.
The speeches were also a defining moment as the couple wanted to thank everyone – both fathers, the maid of honour and best man all gave beautiful blessings, too. The theme was mint and peach romantic touches, décor was created by family and instead of a guest book guests’ signed Reiner’s bench so the couple could keep it forever!
