Excited and giggly was how Fiona felt when she first met Tim. For their first date (the day after they met) they went to the park on a beautiful sunny day and talked for hours before going to the pub for lunch. And romance was always in the air for this happy couple as Tom whisked Fiona away to the Cotswolds after just six weeks of being together, but it was a trip to New York that was the perfect time for him to propose to his girl.

The bride’s beautifully detailed dress was a bespoke design made especially for her by a very talented friend and designer, Kyri. The fitted lace dress had intricate bead detailing and made Fiona feel truly “amazing”. She added Jimmy Choo gold heels and antique engagement ring, wanting to keep her jewellery minimal. Her sister Rachael and three friends Jessica, Joanne and Natalie were her fabulous maids and all wore pretty pink dresses by Ariella Couture.

Tom wore a bespoke blue tweed suit which Fiona says made him look “totally gorgeous!” The civil ceremony took place at Le Petit Moulin in France, and her best memory? “Walking down the aisle to people cheering and clapping,” she says. The speeches were a wonderful mix of humour and emotion from the father of the bride, while the groom opted for a funny speech, as did his best men! Entertainment included DJ Chris Woo and a French-inspired photobooth for guests to enjoy.

Fairylights, vintage signs, handmade signposts, pastel pom poms and flower displays with peonies were the main decorations for their venue! Guests could choose from a huge menu that included red mullet with goat’s cheese, fillet of sea bass with creamy leeks and poppy seeds topped off with a cognac ice cream with pineau cream dessert! Guests’ favours were either mini perfume bottles for the girls or cigars and cognac for the boys, because they were in the Cognac region of France.
