In the heart of Derbyshire, the historic West Mill brings design decadence to northern brides, where the most beautiful faces and places come together to make a picture perfect shoot!

Industrial history

On the River Derwent, the Mill’s breathtaking architecture dates back to 1800, blending natural beauty and industrial design.

Your dream day

The perfect backdrop for the modern bride looking for a distinctive venue that is as unique as you are!

Numbers game

Licensed for civil weddings and receptions for up to 170 guests, with every detail taken care of by an expert events team.

No hidden extras

Couples can supply their own reception drinks with no corkage or service charge with the Mill’s ‘no hidden extras’ policy.

Stunning views

The West Mill overlooks a pristine weir and river garden, with views over the bridge and westerly sunsets over the grounds of Darley Park.

Georgian style

Choose from trestle or circular table seating, under the barrel-vaulted brick arches, complemented by the blue brick floor and Georgian paned windows.

Country meets city chic

Chesterfield lounges and treated concrete floors give the Mill a polished edge of inner city cool.

Where it starts

The dressing rooms in the Mill’s ‘Cotton Quarter’ are the perfect setting to let your special day begin to unfold.

Love at first sight

Owners, Andrew and Chrissie Rose, fell in love with the Mill and invested their time, love, and care into giving the neglected mill its second life as a luxurious event space. “We fell in love with the West Mill the second we stepped foot inside the building,” says Chrissie.
