Even if your childhood wasn’t spent dreaming of your wedding day, as time old saying would have it, it probably did include a fair dose of Disney films. Associated with all things magic and fairytale, it’s easy to see why brides dream of creating their own Disney moments at their wedding, but not every Disney moment is fit for a wedding day. Here are three Disney moments every wedding needs and three they definitely don’t!
3 YOU NEED

Grand entrance
Whether it’s the second you step down the aisle as the string quartet strike up, or as you’re welcomed into your wedding reception as husband and wife, make your entrance grand! Take full advantage of your flowing train (and have your girls ready to spread it nicely as you stand at the altar), and don’t be afraid of making a grand entrance down a sweeping staircase if your venue has one. Steady yourself with one hand on the banister, smile, and you won’t just be fine, you’ll steal the show!

Princess dress
If you thought you found the one when you met your husband-to-be, you did, but you’re about to fall in love all over again! Even brides who always thought they’d want a slim-fitting dress often adore a princess wedding dress as soon as they’re persuaded to try it on. Whether you want to be Belle of the ball in antique gold or a cool, shimmering blue like Cinderella, when else will you get the chance to feel this much like a princess? Gift of a rose
There are already flowers on the tables and in your bouquet, but your wedding day is all about love, so we’re big fans of when grooms or fathers of the bride surprise their bride or daughter with a red rose after the speeches!
3 TO AVOID
Evil stepmother
These day the top table can become increasingly long as divorced parents and extended families become ever more common. If you’re all on good terms, that’s fantastic, but if not, forget about where people traditionally ought to sit and instead seat them wherever they’ll be most comfortable. You don’t want your wedding breakfast to become a food fight!

Losing a shoe
Cinderella may have lost a slipper and found a prince, but you’ve already got yours! If your heels will be tricky to dance in, swap into some simple ballet pumps or flats for a pretty and more practical alternative, then dance the night away in the arms of your new husband!
Being late
Disney princesses have a tendency to get caught up in all kinds of trouble, often making them late. Your wedding day is your most important date, so make sure all your plans are clear and each member of the bridal party knows where to be when to avoid being late!
Don’t forget to make your first stop of happy ever after a Disneyland honeymoon following your fairytale day like this couple did with the help of their guests!
