Whether you and your h2b are tying the knot abroad or are keen travellers who want to bring a touch of jetsetting to your big day, we have over 20 amazing travel-inspired wedding buys for you! Check them out here…

A travel theme is the perfect choice for your big day if you’re having a destination wedding! Start by sending your guests a fun passport-themed invitation with all the details of your wedding location and a map of your destination. You can then take inspiration from your chosen country and theme your day accordingly.
Name your tables after famous cities or locations in the country – for example, if you’re marrying in Italy, you could call your tables ‘Rome’, ‘Venice’, ‘Milan’, etc. Hang the country’s flag to bring a little colour to your surroundings, or make bunting out of postcards. Don’t forget that local foods, drinks and sweets make perfect destination wedding favours too!

If you’re marrying in the UK but want to invoke a little wanderlust in your guests, a vintage travel theme is one of our favourite trends at weddings. You can make almost anything out of antique maps – use one as a backdrop for your table plan, create paper bag lanterns out of them, fold them into paper planes for cute hanging decorations or create confetti cones out of them.

Aside from maps, you can use an airmail theme, plane motifs and suitcases to create a cute travel theme wedding. We love airmail-inspired stationery, and you can tie red, white and blue ribbon around brown boxes for pretty props or favour boxes. You can also buy vintage-style rubber stamps online, which would be great for creating a continuous look and tying your props and stationery together – you can even get customised wedding stamps!

Vintage globes make fantastic centrepieces, as do miniature stacks of suitcases. You can also prop a vintage leather suitcase open and hang polaroid photos of your guests inside as an alternative table plan, or of you and your h2b as a cute dessert table decoration. Don’t forget that mini airplane or boat bracelet charms make sweet favours for girls, and compasses are a kitsch options for guys.
