Spring has finally sprung, and as always, pastel is a huge trend for bridesmaids in 2014. If you’re dressing your girls in sorbet shades this spring, why not take a look at these pastel bridesmaids outfits for inspiration?
Spring 2014 is definitely the season of pastel – soft shades of baby pink, cool lilac and mint green have been all over the runways and in the high street shops. Luckily for brides-to-be, pastels are a perennial favourite for weddings too, although they look particularly good in the spring and summer. If you’ve chosen one of these shades, you should have no trouble putting together your colour scheme!
Pastels can be surprisingly flattering too, no matter what skin tone or hair colour your bridesmaids have. We recommend that you shop around for the right shade, and don’t shy away from choosing accessories to match your dresses. You can even buy nail polish to suit your scheme – both high end and high street brands usually release pastels just before spring, so you should have plenty to choose from. For the sake of your bridesmaids though, steer clear of pastel makeup – it can drain colour from the face, and bring back unwanted memories of frosted 1980s lipstick!
One of our favourite bridesmaid trends for this year is to mix different pastels – why not dress each of your bridesmaid in a different sherbert shade and give them matching accessories? Or, mix up your bridesmaids’ accessories, and give them pale pistachio dresses with blush bags and shoes, for example? The choices are endless!
