Bride of the Year
Our final award of the evening is appropriately special; this is where we honour a real bride who has overcome adversity and made a difference within their community.
Nominations just kept flooding in for this brave mum from the South West. She used her own wedding day to launch a very special charity called The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, whose sole purpose is to organise and fund weddings for terminally ill people.
Our winner, who is currently fighting secondary breast cancer herself, works on raising funds throughout the year to ensure that most of the major costs of the weddings are covered, working with generous wedding suppliers who kindly donate their services for free.
Thanks to her wonderfully caring nature and determination to succeed she has built up an impressive list of patrons, which include Olympic silver medalist Mary King. Her husband describes her as strong, loving and inspirational and that’s exactly why we’ve chosen her as this year’s winner.
