Real Wedding - Claire and Ross

The proposal

Ross proposed 45 feet underwater! The couple were scuba diving in the Caribbean sea when he got down on one knee and signalled for Claire to swim over to see his wristband, on which he had written: "Will you marry me?".

The bride's outfit

Claire looked flawless in her strapless Paloma Blanca dress in duponi silk, which she found at The Bridal Room in Reigate. The ruffled skirt made her feel really glamorous and the dress was embellished with beading to Claire's own specification. Her Rainbow Club shoes were also from The Bridal Room and Claire found her pearl earrings and necklace at Absolute Pearls.

"Despite his fear of sharks, Ross proposed when we were 45 feet underwater!"

The groom's outfit

Ross's grey morning suit was hired from the Jeff Banks collection at Debenhams. The groom's rose silk cravat was made by a seamstress at The Bridal Room, using silk from Watters & Watters to match the bridesmaids' dresses. Ross's diamanté tie pin was from The Cravat Company.co.uk.

Wore plum rose silk dresses by Watters & Watters, and silver sandals, all from The Bridal Room.

The flowers

Claire's bouquet featured diamanté - studded Akito roses with gerberas and Fountain Panicum. Bridesmaids carried posies of pink roses with white gerberas and greenery.

The ceremony

Local musicians played My love is like a red, red rose on Scottish harps as Claire entered the church and A Scottish jig as the couple left.

The reception

Was held at The Portland Arms Hotel in Lybster, Caithness Port Land arms. Hurricane candle holders from Marks & Spencer were placed on tables and flled with sand, pebbles and shells.

The cake

Was a three-tier cake of chocolate and fruit layers, which was iced in white and decorated with pink gerberas and crystal wire. It was made by Liz Nicholson from Wick.

The music

Claire and Ross were piped into their reception by Alan Plowman from Thurso Pipe Band and later, Whisky, a fantastic Scottish band, got everyone up and dancing.

Special moment

"At the end of the night, the couple's guests linked into a circle, with all of the wedding party in the centre, and the band played a jig for everyone to dance to - an unforgettable moment!
