Brussels

What’s good about it? - It’s easy to get to and is great for a bit of culture and fine food

Flight time - Less than an hour

Things to do - Visit Le Chocolatier Manon chocolate factory and the very beautiful Grand Place - Europe’s loveliest square

Evening entertainment - Brussels boasts more Michelin starred restaurants...per square kilometre than any other city in Europe, so eating out is a dream

Prague

What’s good - It’s magical, easy to walk around, the bars and clubs are centrally located and it’s still a very cheap place to visit, whilst culturally rich

Flight time - 2 hrs 30 mins

Things to do - Museums, beer halls, cafes and fairytale castles

Evening entertainment - Enjoy a few Czech Beers at one of the many bars and clubs. While you’re there, remember to take it easy on the Absynth

Barcelona

What’s good -Stylish side street boutiques, pleasant climate, spectacular architecture, great food

Things to do - Absorb the amazing Gaudi and Gothic architecture, and visit the modern art museums. Along with a spot of shopping…

Evening entertainment - The nightlife doesn’t really get started until around 2am. However The Old Port provides a one-stop shop for restaurants, bars and clubs. It’s all there.

Riga, Latvia

What’s good - Excellent restaurants to be found in Riga’s old quarter. The city is really welcoming to tourists. A rising star – best for those looking for somewhere a bit different

Flight time - 3 hours

Things to do - The history surrounds you, there is something interesting to see and do everywhere you go. Great for people watching, too

Evening entertainment - There are good casinos, many with live music.

Dublin

What’s good - Round the clock entertainment, stylish shops in Grafton and O’Connell Streets

Flight time - About an hour

Things to do - Learn about the whiskey trade with a visit to the Jameson’s Distillery. Or just stay in the pub, drinking Guinness

Evening entertainment - Enjoy a pint or two of Guinness in a traditional Irish bar – it’s a must.

Amsterdam

What’s good - A vast array of restaurants serving cuisine from around the world.

Flight time - 1hour 45 minutes

Things to do - For a spot of culture visit the famous Van Gogh museum, and take a peek at Rembrandt’s house

Evening entertainment - Enjoy exotic nightlife by sampling one of the lively clubs or bars.

Paris

What’s good - All the hotspots are within walking distance of each other

Things to do - So many: the Eiffel Tower, Le Louvre, Arc de Triumph and the Champs Elysees

Evening entertainment - Numerous restaurants, cafes and bars on the Champs Elysees, perfect for people watching. Not forgetting all that wine.

Copenhagen

What’s good - Stroget is the longest pedestrian street in the world full of Gucci, Chanel and Mulberry – perfect for shopaholics. It’s a really cosmopolitan place with great arts centres

Flight time - Just over an hour

Things to do - Visit various castles, churches and of course the famous Carlsberg Museum

Evening entertainment - Head for the Golden Triangle for fashionable places like Café Victor, Dan Turell and Café Ketchup.

Budapest

What’s good - An abundance of fabulous spas, breathtaking panoramas and beautiful buildings

Things to do - Take a trip to the world-famous 18th century Gellert baths – soak, steam and swim, and pay a little extra for a relaxing massage

Lisbon

What’s good - It’s one of the most welcoming cities in Europe, with a fantastic climate, cosmopolitan way of life and great food and drink

Evening entertainment - There’s something for everyone… a variety of exciting nightlife ranging from jazz bars, clubs and strip shows.
