Give in Celebration is a unique way to celebrate your big day while supporting Cancer Research UK's life-saving work. It's a great way to remember someone who can't be there or celebrate someone who can.

You can support Cancer Research UK in two ways on your wedding day with our alternative wedding list or wedding favours.

Say 'I do' to the wedding list that helps saves lives

With a Give in Celebration page, you can request donations instead of gifts to raise funds for Cancer Research UK's life-saving work. It's a unique way to support the charity that can be used as well as or instead of a traditional gift list.

How it works

Personalising your Give in Celebration page is quick and simple. You can personalise your page by uploading photos and writing your own message, as well as selecting images and page colours to decorate it. You can then invite guests to donate to your page and leave you a message.

Donations can be made online, by phone or cheque, so it's easy and convenient for everyone. And the money you raise really will make a difference to people with cancer.

Making a difference

This is exactly what newlyweds Jane and Dave did when they used Give in Celebration when they got married last year. Here, Jane and Dave tell us their story.

When Jane first met Dave, he'd just finished chemotherapy. She explains "He came up to talk to me in a bar. He told me about his cancer on our first date - after that, there wasn't really much we couldn't talk about."

Jane has sadly been touched by cancer before, too. "Dad died from cancer in 1996. He was the doer of the family and it was very hard for us all, especially Mum. And 13 years later we were all very emotional again on my wedding day when Mum gave me away. I mentioned Dad in my speech, and led a toast to everyone who couldn't be with us."

Jane and David

"I saw an advert for Give in Celebration in a wedding magazine and I put it to Dave, who agreed it would be a good idea. We did our page together, and it was actually a really good way of telling each other's family and friends about why it was so relevant to both sides."

"We had a fantastic response from our guests. Everyone thought it was a brilliant idea!"
